Owned and operated by the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design, Market House was designed in 1775 by the great American architect John Brown. It's located on the heart of the school's campus, which lies in downtown Providence, next to Brown University. Visitors can walk through the house and learn about its storied history, which includes a stint as the seat of city government, and a site of the Great Hurricane of 1938
